Preface
This portfolio of photographs is a presentation of my vision. Through my lens, I seek to show a mixed genre and a variety of artistic perspectives. This portfolio has included Macro & Nature Photography, Astrophotography, Landscape Photography and Architectural Photography.
Rime (2025)
Location: Zermatt, Switzerland
This album is about the frost-laced scenery on the branches, and I aimed to explore the intricate patterns on the branch surfaces. Also, using close-up shots to show the crystalline structures created by the natural world.
Brutalism in Architecture (2025)
Location: Milan, Italy
This album is to explore brutalist architecture, with its raw concrete forms and minimalist designs. The geometric form of the cathedral creates an ultramodern and avant-garde visual impact. To enhance the futuristic look, I experimented with infrared photography, in which I used an infrared filter for the shots.
Under the Stars (2024)
Location: Yosemite, California
This album presents the illumination of the soft starlight by long exposure, which is up to 30 seconds. We can see a full starry sky with constellations including the Ursa Major. It also captured trails of airplanes, revealing the interplay between human civilization and the cosmos.
Sunset Silhouettes (2024)
Location: Carmel by the Sea, California
The theme of this album is about contrast, from the tranquil outlines of trees against a fiery sky to the silhouettes of people against the backdrop of dusk. It explores the light and dark in the natural world.
Reflections (2024)
Location: Luray Caverns, Virginia
This album focused on reflections and symmetrical composition, it captures the stalactites in a cave and their reflections from the underground water. These reflections created an abstract, virtual, and illusion space with a darker tone and lighting compared to the stalactite's body. This created a mystery and illusory visual impact.
